See the new line from Nike that'll take you back to the future.

Prolific sportswear brand Nike is determined to be ahead of the curve when it comes to its products. First it collaborated with streetwear brand AMBUSH for a futuristic apparel and footwear collection late last year. Then it set about releasing the highly anticipated self-lacing smart tech Adapt BB sneakers and essentially changed the game when it comes to sporting footwear. Now, in keeping with the futuristic theme, the global sportswear giant is about to drop a new take on the cult favourite Air Max silhouette.

The Throwback Future collection will see your favourite sports shoe get an iridescent makeover. The capsule will see a mix of both new and classic silhouettes available in eight different iterations, meaning there will be a style to suit everyone. You can expect to see the likes of the Nike Air Max 720, Air Max 95, Air Max Plus and the Air Max 97. A special edition all-matte black base Air Max 720 version will also be on offer, though unfortunately, it will be exclusive to Greater China for now (is that an excuse for a holiday to China we hear?).

The line is the perfect combination of old and new – using the classic Air Max style for a nostalgic hit and pairing it with new futuristic colour schemes. Each iteration features iridescent blues, purple and green hues anchored by a neutralising black tone for some truly stylish looks.

When and where can you shop the collection?

According to Nike, the Air Max Throwback Future Pack is set to drop on 21 March. You'll be able to shop it from the Nike site as well as from select retailers. Hopefully this means we'll see them pop up in usual stockists like Platypus Shoes and THE ICONIC.
