Nike Halloween Slime Air Max 97 sneakers

Ring in the spooky season in style with these ghoulish glow-in-the-dark kicks.

With Halloween right around the corner, mega sportswear brand Nike is getting into the spirit of the season. Similar to previous years, the label is set to drop some themed sneakers to mark All Hallow's Eve, with the first arriving in the form of the classic Air Max 97 silhouette.

Release date: TBC

Price: TBC

Where to buy: Nike SNKRS site

The reimagining will see a black mesh base paired with contrasting purple suede mudguards. Lime green detailing will meanwhile drip down the mid-panel and rear, giving the shoe its "Slime" title.

In true Halloween style though, it's what happens after dark that gives the pair its spooky feel. Once you've killed the lights, 3M reflective detailing lights up the wavy overlay, while the lime green outsoles begin to glow-in-the-dark.

The end result makes the sneakers perfect for a socially distanced Halloween party or trick-or-treat outing.

While Nike is yet to announce any official release information, we can expect the Slime sneakers to be available within the coming weeks. When they do drop, they will likely do so first on the Nike SNKRS site. Sizing and pricing are to be confirmed.

We're also expecting the Air Max 97s to be part of a wider Halloween range by the Swoosh, so stay tuned for more updates.
