Nike Air Max 1 City pack: “London” and “Amsterdam” release date
This is your first official look at the "London" and "Amsterdam" kicks – you're going to love the contrasting colours.
Nike is dropping two new colourways of the signature Air Max 1 sneaker inspired by London and Amsterdam.
As some of you may know, this isn't Nike's first collection related to cities around the world. Earlier this year, the sportswear brand dropped a City Pack in the Air Max 90 silhouette. Some of the places featured include New York, Paris and Tokyo.
This is your first official look at the "London" and "Amsterdam" styles, and we cannot wait to get our hands on them.
Release date: These kicks will start arriving in global stockists from 19 March.
Where to shop: While we don't have a confirmed list of stockists, we do know that you'll be able to shop from END.. Eventually, you'll also be able to shop from Nike online (but we don't know when the Australian site will receive stock).
We are obsessing over the two contrasting colour palettes in these kicks.
The "London" colour theme is definitely representative of the climate, with cool-toned greys in varying hues. This is coupled with a range of textures like mesh, suede and corduroy, to represent the city's diversity in architecture.
The sneaker's focal point is the embroidered heel, which pictures the curving River Thames alongside the Nike Swoosh.
If you're after a brighter colour palette, the "Amsterdam" silhouette is perfect for you. It's covered in warm shades of beige, pink and maroon. Why red? It represents the buildings and winding canals of the city.
The shoe also arrives with a multitude of textures, and we are loving the smooth and rugged suede, corduroy and leather. Similar embroidery covers the heel, and "XXX" is displayed on the toe box, which is taken from Amsterdam's coat of arms.
