Nike Air Jordan 10 Wings sneakers: First look and release date
Get a first peep at the Chicago-inspired sneakers that will have you feeling lighter than air on the court.
In honour of the NBA's All-Star weekend returning to Chicago, the Jordan Brand has revealed a new pair of kicks celebrating the Windy City. The special edition "Wings" Air Jordan 10 has been designed by four students who drew inspiration from Chicago's Transit Authority (CTA).
Release date: 15 February
Where to buy: Nike
The sneakers arrive in a white tumbled leather upper with all over piping in the eight colours of Chicago's transit line. Green throat and sock liners, lateral metallic panels and an icy blue outsole work to give the style some edge.
The design is finished off with white laces and a black tab on the heel featuring blue, red, purple, bronze, red, green, yellow and pink dots.
Retailing for US$190, the kicks are set to drop onto the Nike site from 15 February. We'll likely see them land in usual Nike stockists not long after, so you may want to keep an eye out at JD Sports, Platypus Shoes and Hype DC too.
The shoes will be part of a wider 8x8 collection, which will consist of various sneaker and apparel drops all inspired by Chicago.
In other Nike news, the brand has just revealed a Valentine's Day-inspired SB Dunk Low in collaboration with StrangeLove Skateboards. The red and pink kicks come in a mix of suede and crushed velvet and will arrive in a special-edition shoebox.
The Nike label has also revealed three other Valentine's Day silhouettes including a revamped Air Max 98, a heart-inspired Blazer Low and a bold pair of Zoom 2Ks.
