When you can get your hands on the Nike Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0 sneakers
Find out when and where to buy one of the most talked about sneaker releases of the year.
Nike has well and truly proved why it's the world's leading sportswear manufacturer this year, releasing drop after drop of sleek kicks and stylish collaborations. One of the most hype-worthy announcements though has been the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shattered Backboard 3.0 sneakers, which sneakerheads will be happy to know finally has a release date.
Release date: 26 October 2019 (US)
Price: US$160
Where to buy: Nike, LUISAVIAROMA, KicksOnFire.
While the kicks will drop first in the US, we should be seeing them arrive on the Australian Nike site shortly thereafter. We're also expecting them to land at both LUISAVIAROMA and KicksOnFire, so keep an eye out over the coming weeks.
Part of Nike's new Fearless Ones collection, the style takes the popular orange and black colourway and revamps it by giving the patent leather upper a crinkled look. Orange overlays, perforated toe boxes, Wing motifs at the ankle and orange Nike Swooshes round out the design.
Basketball fanatics will likely recognise the shattered style as a tribute to Michael Jordan's iconic dunk at the 1985 overseas exhibition game which left the backboard in pieces.
The release date announcement follows the news of a pair of Pine Green Air Jordan 1s that will be dropped as part of a Singles' Day 2019 collection. The capsule will also see the arrival of a metallic gold pair of Air Force 1s, along with a glow-in-the-dark pair of Black Skeleton kicks that are perfect for Halloween.
In other news, the Nike brand has also just given us a first look at a pair of Lebron 17 sneakers in a University Red colourway. The shoes will be available online at Nike shortly after the scheduled US date of 15 November.
