How to get your hands on the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 “Chicago” sneakers
A limited-edition iteration of Nike's smart-lacing sneakers is almost here, but you'll have to test out your own basketball skills online to nab them.
With the first pair of Adapt BB 2.0 sneakers set to drop in stores from today, Nike has now given us a glimpse at another colourway of the innovative kicks. Worn by Memphis Grizzlies guard, Ja Morant, over the NBA All-Star Weekend, the bright red pair comes as a collaborative effort between Nike's SNKRS app and NBA 2K20.
The first-of-its-kind partnership will see the limited edition sneakers become a "Gamer Exclusive" which can be unlocked exclusively through NBA 2K20's new MyPLAYER Nation mode. MyPLAYER allows gamers to select their favourite team and play alongside other fans throughout the 2019-20 NBA season, unlocking exclusives whenever they reach specified achievements.
To purchase gamer exclusives, you'll have to download the SNKRS mobile app and link up your Nike and 2K20 accounts. You'll then be able to grab the "Chicago" Adapt BB 2.0s when they drop, with the pair arriving first as a virtual version that you'll be able to use throughout the NBA 2K20 experience. Those who unlock the shoe will then be able to purchase the physical sneaker in the coming weeks.
Players should be aware though that when the LeBron 17 Bron 2K GE was released, the physical sneakers were only available for purchase by those in the US. While there's no word on whether the Adapt BB 2.0s will see similar restrictions, you might want to hit up your American friends ASAP just in case.

The Adapt BB 2.0s are the updated version of Nike's first smart-lacing sneakers, the Adapt BBs. The new sneaker features the same technology as the first, but sees a sleeker aesthetic, bouncier court style and a stretchier mesh for easier access.
The sneakers are set to land on the US Nike site from today, with several pairs already up for grabs on the StockX site. The US launch means that we should be seeing them hit Australian shores in the coming weeks, with the Australian Nike store slated to be the first to receive stock.
