Grow your Qantas Points total faster with this easy shopping hack.

There's a solid bonus Everyday Rewards points offer from Woolworths this week which lets you earn 5 times the regular amount of points on your shop.

Many supermarket bonus offers are targeted at individual consumers, but that's not the case here.

Just opt in to the offer through your Woolworths app (or via the email link Woolworths is sending out).

The boost applies to all shops of $50 or more at Woolworths (when you scan your Everyday Rewards card) until 23 August 2022.

"We know members who regularly boost offers, enjoy an extra $210 off their shop each year and collect on average, 7x more points than those who just scan their card," Everday managing director Hannah Ross said.

As always, I suggest converting your Everyday Rewards points to Qantas Points to ensure you get maximum value.

But even if you choose the $10 off for every 2,000 points, you'll be saving money.

Is this Everyday Rewards offer worth it?

Here's my take. Every booster helps, but offers that give you hundreds or thousands of points on a single item add up a lot faster than just getting 5 times the number of points on your total shop.

So make sure you're looking for those as well, and taking advantage when they're something you'd buy anyway.

A Woolworths spokesperson confirmed to Finder that the multiplier only applies to the base value of your shop, not to points earned through additional offers.

"So for example if your basket comes to $200, you would get 1,000 points if you boost the offer and scan your card," the spokesperson said. "Then any additional boosters are added on top, such as 300 points for purchasing a particular yogurt brand for example."

If you're a member of the recently launched Everyday Extra scheme, you'll get 7 times the points through this offer, not just 5. Normally, Everyday Extra members get triple points.
