Ola now seeking drivers in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Just days after Taxify announced it will be starting up in Melbourne, another ride-share company will be entering the market.

Ola, India's most popular ride-share platform which provides rides for about 2 million people every day, launched today in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth for drivers looking to join the Ola team.

To help sway drivers to use the platform, it's offering a low 7.5% commission rate, which is less than half of the 20% charged by Uber. It will also offer the option to get paid daily.

Unlike Uber or Taxify, it's unknown whether any offers will be provided for passengers taking their first ride with the platform. Uber currently offers $20 off your first ride, while Taxify offers 50% off for the first month of service in a new city plus a $5 referral if you recommend it to a friend.

After launching in 2011, Ola claims to have 125 million users across more than 110 cities.

Australia is the first country outside of India Ola will operate in.
