That shouldn't stop you from seeing what else is coming your way, especially as April is packed with new and returning goodies. Whether you're a TV junkie or movie buff, there's plenty to look forward to. We've got the highlights of what's new on streaming this month below.

What's new on Netflix in April 2023

One of the most-anticipated new shows on Netflix in April is Beef, which stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun as strangers who become involved in a road rage incident. The incident sparks a feud that brings out their darkest impulses. Intriguing!

For a touch of comedy, check out Fine, thanks, Celeste Barber's comedy special. She takes the stage in Sydney to talk about marriage, mental health, celebrity-branded sex toys and more. Non-fiction highlights also include Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now, a documentary that chronicles Capaldi's journey from scrappy teen to Grammy-nominated pop star.

Subscribers can catch up with a bunch of returning shows like Sweet Tooth, Firefly Lane, Indian Matchmaking and Workin' Moms.

On the movie front, Hunger follows a talented young street-food cook who pushes herself to the limit after accepting an invitation to train under a ruthless chef. For feel-good vibes, Ticket to Paradise stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts as divorced parents determined to sabotage their daughter's upcoming wedding in Bali. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always sees the Power Rangers band together again after 30 years following the return of their nemesis Rita Repulsa.

What's new on BINGE and Foxtel in April 2023

BINGE kicks off April with the second season of Logie-nominated Aussie drama Love Me. The show follows the Mathieson family, who were fractured by grief. Picking up 9 months after the previous finale, the new episodes explore how to nurture and hold on to love amid life's many challenges.

Barry, the acclaimed HBO comedy about a hitman who pursues acting, is also back with its final season. Other returning shows include Somebody Somewhere, Dave and A Black Lady Sketch Show.

If you're looking for new titles to get addicted to, Mrs. Davis is a sci-fi drama co-created by Lost's Damon Lindelof. When an all-powerful, charismatic artificial intelligence takes over the world, a battle of biblical proportions ensues between technology and a nun played by the formidable Betty Gilpin. That description should be enough to make you want to tune in ASAP.

On the same note, Love & Death is a gripping drama starring Elizabeth Olsen as a 1970s housewife. Everything seems to be going fine until someone picks up an axe and commits a brutal murder. Based on true events.

Also look out for the craziest show on TV - MILF Manor. Some older women go to an idyllic getaway to find love, but there's a twist.

All these titles will be on Foxtel as well. For movies, don't miss Vengeance, a mystery about a writer from New York who travels down south as he attempts to solve the murder of a former flame.

What's new on Stan in April 2023

Stan is premiering original movie The Portable Door, a fantasy adventure about 2 lowly interns who begin to work at a mysterious company and become steadily aware that their employers are anything but conventional.

Speaking of original content, you might like new series Totally Completely Fine, which revolves around a 20-something whose life is in free fall. When she inherits her grandfather's waterfront shack, she discovers that it's a known suicide site. As a result, she makes an effort to repeatedly talk people out of taking the plunge. Maybe she can also save herself in process?

Unsettling series From, set in a town in middle America that traps all those who enter, returns with season 2. As hidden truths about the terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, plunging the lives of the town's residents further into further chaos. Heart-warming comedy drama Blindspotting will also be back with new episodes.

What's new on Prime Video in April 2023

Over at Prime Video, April brings the final season of hit comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Midge is ready to fight for her ascent to stardom and finds herself closer than ever to the success she's always dreamed of. Unfortunately, she also discovers that closer than ever is still very far away.

If you love spy thrillers, Citadel will be right up your alley. The series stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra as spies who embark on a dangerous mission to stop a powerful syndicate that is manipulating the world from the shadows.

You might also like Dead Ringers, a modern take on David Cronenberg's 1988 thriller. Rachel Weisz plays the double-lead roles of Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and the willingness to perform ethically questionable medical procedures.

As for movies, On a Wing and a Prayer follows a father who takes control of a private plane after the pilot dies and does everything he can to take his family to safety. It features Dennis Quaid, Heather Graham and Jesse Metcalfe. There's also the documentary Judy Blume Forever about the beloved author of children's books.

What's new on Disney Plus in April 2023

April is shaping up to be an eventful month for Disney Plus subscribers. We recommend checking out Star original Tiny Beautiful Things, which is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Cheryl Strayed.

Kathryn Hahn plays Clare, a struggling woman who takes a gig as an advice columnist. As she tries to help others, she swifts through her own memories, realising that she might not be beyond rescue after all.

This month also brings movie Peter Pan & Wendy, about a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home and a boy who refuses to grow up. Together, they go on a magical adventure.

If you love sport docos, you can't miss Matildas: The World at Our Feet, which follows the players on and off the field as they work towards their biggest challenge yet - the 2023 World Cup.

Other Disney Plus highlights for April include crime drama The Company You Keep, coming-of-age series The Crossover and season 2 of delightful comedy Single Drunk Female.

What's new on Paramount Plus in April 2023

In April, Paramount Plus is treating musical fans to Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. The series is set 4 years before the original movie, in the 50s, and follows 4 fed-up outcasts who dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

If you like reality TV, you might be into The Challenge: Argentina, Teen Mom UK: Next Generation or season 3B of Couples Therapy US. Revival series Rugrats and Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head also return with new episodes.

Horror fans should check out Torn Hearts, a movie about a country music duo who seek out the private mansion of their idol and end up in a twisted series of events that force them to confront their limits.

Craving something lighter? Unhuman follows a group of misfit high school students who must band together after a bus crash to fight zombie-like creatures.

What's new on BritBox, AcornTV, AMC Plus, Apple TV Plus and more in April 2023

For fans of British telly, BritBox is premiering new seasons of Sister Boniface Mysteries, Grace, Ladhood and The Great Pottery Throwdown. Meanwhile, Acorn TV brings subscribers new episodes of Dalgliesh and Candice Renoir.

On Shudder, Slasher: Ripper takes the Slasher franchise back in time to the late 19th century, when a killer is stalking the streets, targeting the rich and powerful. Other April premieres include Kids vs. Aliens, The Boulet Brothers' Halfway to Halloween TV Special and From Black.

Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches is finally making its Australian debut on AMC Plus. Based on Rice's best-selling trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches, the series stars Alexandra Daddario as a young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches.

Over at Apple TV Plus, you might like mystery series The Last Thing He Told Me, about a woman whose husband vanishes, leaving behind a cryptic message. With Jennifer Garner, Angourie Rice and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. This month also brings the second season of musical Schmigadoon!, as well as action comedy Ghosted, with Ana de Armas and Chris Evans.

If you love reality, Hayu delivers new episodes of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and Celebrity Prank Wars. On SBS On Demand, docu-series Asking For It sees journalist Jess Hill reignite a national conversation about the epidemic of sexual violence, while Appetite is an original series about 3 delivery riders who are brought together after their housemate mysteriously disappears.
