New on Netflix Australia, Stan, Foxtel, Prime Video, Disney+, hayu and SBS On Demand in February 2020

Mark your calendars: You might break your binge-watching record this month.

Just because February is the shortest month of the year doesn't mean it won't offer plenty when it comes to new content available to stream. In fact, everyone from Amazon to Netflix to Disney+ is lining up exciting shows and movies that are sure to catch the eye, especially when they feature some of the biggest names in the biz.

Case in point: Hunters, a new series scheduled to drop on Amazon Prime Video on 21 February. The shows follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York and stars the one and only Al Pacino. Fresh movies are bound for the service as well, with highlights including musical fantasy Rocketman and blockbuster Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Over at Netflix, February brings us new seasons of Narcos: Mexico, Altered Carbon and Cable Girls. New shows that are likely to be the talk of the Internet include Locke & Key, which revolves around three siblings who suddenly gain access to keys that grant them special abilities; and I Am Not Okay With This, which follows a teen as she navigates the complexities of life while dealing with... mysterious superpowers. Sense a common theme? Fun fact: both shows are based on popular comic book series/graphic novels.

Netflix original movies coming our way in February include the Alison Brie-centred Horse Girl, the highly anticipated To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and an adaptation of the bestselling young adult novel All The Bright Places.

Next, Disney+ is treating subscribers to Toy Story 4, which will finally be available to stream after enjoying a successful box office run last year. The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will also drop on the service, with new episodes streaming from 21 February. If you're more into reality TV than fantasy, hayu will offer series Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, the newest iteration of the popular Below Deck franchise.

As for Foxtel, the pay TV giant will become home to new series Katy Keene, a spin-off of beloved show Riverdale. Katy Keene is set in the same universe and follows a twenty-something aspiring designer and her friends (including Riverdale's Josie) as they try to make it in New York. So far, it's giving us plenty of Gossip Girl meets Sex and the City vibes, with some music thrown in for good measure. Season five of Outlander will also premiere on Foxtel this month, so gear up for new episodes starting 17 February.

Meanwhile, Stan's highlights include new series Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, which follows a computer coder who, after an unusual event, starts to hear the thoughts and desires of the people around her through popular songs. New seasons of Better Call Saul and Kidding also premiere this month as well, fast-tracked from the US.

Enjoy your content free? SBS On Demand has your back, hosting some exciting premieres in February. The service will fast-track new seasons of hit shows Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Homeland express from the US. Plus, crime show fans can tune in for Dublin Murders starting on 19 February. Based on Tana French's acclaimed first two novels in her Dublin Murder Squad series, the show centres on two detectives who have to battle their inner demons in order to solve challenging cases.
