Just opened: Hyatt Regency Shanghai Global Harbor, Shanghai
The official opening of the Hyatt Regency Shanghai marks the seventh Hyatt-branded property to open in Shanghai.
It is a part of a mega complex that connects business and leisure travellers to high-end shopping, office towers, restaurants and more. The new hotel boasts 318 rooms in the Putuo District.

Just opened: Viceroy Hotel, Chicago
Viceroy Hotel Group opened the doors to its first property in the Midwest last week. It has taken over the site of the historic Cedar Hotel.
This new luxury hotel features 180 modern rooms in the Gold Coast neighbourhood. Rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows on all 18 floors with views of Lake Michigan and the city.
It boasts the first rooftop pool in the area and the new restaurant is run by a Chicago favourite, the Boka Restaurant Group. A fitness centre and complimentary Wi-Fi are also available.

Just opened: LUX* Bodrum, Bodrum, Turkey
LUX* Hotels & Resorts opened the latest addition to its collection last week along Turkey's Aegean Riviera, a trendy and glamorous hotspot.
Tucked away in a secluded and private cove, the hotel boasts 91 rooms as well as 19 private residences which offer beach house accommodation and a spot to anchor a yacht.
Not far from the exclusive bay you’ll find the Greek Islands of Patmos and Kos.

Just opened: Residence Inn and Springhill Suites Clearwater Beach, Florida
The dual branded Residence Inn and Springhill Suites under Marriott opened last week with shared amenities, both overlooking Clearwater Bay.
Residence Inn has 140 suites and Springhill Suites adds another 115. Both feature oversized suites with work and sleeping areas for flexibility with a coastal vibe.
The shared amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, deck, fitness centre, meeting space, business centre, a 24-hour market and covered parking.

Opening soon: Mantra MacArthur, Canberra
The only hotel launching in Canberra this year will be opening this month to accommodate the growing need of hotels in the capital.
The converted office room will soon house 176 rooms as part of the urban renewal program. The hotel features a sleek, modern industrial design.
On-site there is secure parking, a Greek Mediterranean restaurant and gym.

Opening soon: Sage Hotel Ringwood, Melbourne
Opening in October, Sage Hotel Ringwood will span five floors on top of the Eastland Shopping Centre.
Its 120 rooms are modern and sleek with a contemporary design including floor-to-ceiling windows and walk-in showers.
The hotel is penned to showcase the best of the Yarra Valley at its on-site restaurant and bar, which will feature wine, beer and spirits from the surrounding area.
A conference room, co-working space with views over the Dandenongs and complimentary Wi-Fi are just some of the amenities.

AccorHotels to open six new luxury hotels in the Asia Pacific Region
Within the next three months new hotels by Sofitel and Pullman, which are under the AccorHotels luxury chain brand, are set to open. The first, Hotel Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara opened in August. This is being followed by ventures in Singapore, Sydney and Brisbane as well as a relaunched hotel in Wellington.
Rydges Hobart debuts its new look after massive makeover
Rydges Hobart has undergone a refurbishment of all its rooms, public areas and conference areas. The new look is contemporary with modern amenities and renovated bathrooms. A new restaurant, 1898 Bar & Dining, is set within the historic main building and overlooks the city skyline. It serves local and seasonal dishes.
