Just opened: Hotel COZi Wetland, Hong Kong
The first hotel under the mid-range Hotel COZi brand opened its doors last week in Hong Kong with a location that’s only 5 minutes from Wetland Park.
The hotel serves as a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city with 336 spacious rooms boasting high ceilings, contemporary design and a relaxing style.
Three more properties are set to open in Tsuen Wan, Kwun Tong and Tuen Mun, all of which are geared towards the needs of families and business travellers.

Just opened: Radisson Red Cape Town, Cape Town
The much anticipated Radisson Red hotel opened last week in Cape Town, ready to shake-up the bland hotel scene in the city.
The hotel feature a bold design that appeals to tech-savvy visitors and millennials. There are 252 rooms, which are pet-friendly and have balconies with sea views.
A gym and bar that serves craft beer and cocktails are both on-site. But the main action will be held on the RED roof where BBQ events will be held regularly.

Just opened: Tulum Treehouse, Tulum
Design Hotels has opened the ultimate jungle retreat just outside the heart of Tulum, Mexico.
This exclusive hotels features five rooms in a private house, offering guests an eco-friendly retreat.
The property is full-service with large common living areas and wrap-around terraces nestled in the lush greenery.

AccorHotels prepares to open its 800th hotel in the Asia-Pacific region in Singapore next month.
223 luxury rooms with elegant designs will be nestled among historic shops and skyscrapers. A botanic theme runs throughout the hotel with custom furniture and art.
Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a droid butler called Sophie the Robot.
The hotel boasts several on-site restaurants, a lawn to practise yoga, a gym and a 30-metre infinity pool.

Opening soon: Sunway Velocity Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
Sunway Hotels & Resorts opens a mid-range hotel next week as a part of the mixed-use development, Sunway Velocity Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is connected to a mall, dining, office towers, residences and two-acre park.
The hotel features 351 rooms and is the only hotel in the Cheras vicinity that is transit-oriented with direct connections to two transit stations.
A cafe, rooftop swimming pool, boardroom and a fitness centre are on-site.

Canberra set to get a new luxury hotel
As the demand for luxury hotels in the nation’s capital grows from international visitors new plans are being put in place. The Abode group plans to open several hotels to meet the international level of luxury experiences desired. The first is planned to begin construction in 2019 and open its doors to guests in 2020.
Sofitel Wellington gears up to re-open its door this October
After a temporary closure, Sofitel Wellington will be reopening its highly anticipated doors. Along with the re-open the hotel plans to welcome visitors, both local and international, with events that include live music, stimulating talks and culinary experiences.
Myanmar welcomes its first 5-star luxury hotel
Pan Pacific has announced that the brand's debut property in Myanmar will open this November. Called the Pan Pacific Yangon it will be the first international 5-star hotel in the country and will treat guests to panoramic river views. There will also be extensive facilities for both leisure and business travellers.
