Just opened: Crowne Plaza Christchurch, Christchurch
Opened late last month, Crowne Plaza Christchurch boasts 204 rooms and is one of the city’s largest upscale hotels. Many rooms feature sweeping views over the historic Victoria Square and Avon River while the hotel itself boasts three dining spaces to socialise in.
The hotel also features four meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi throughout and a quiet zone as well as a fitness and wellness centre.

Just opened: Dream Hollywood Hotel, Los Angeles
Dream Hollywood Hotel has 178 stylish guest rooms and suites that play homage to mid-century architecture with garden elements and plush furniture.
The restaurant and lounge offer incredible views over Hollywood Hills and of the Los Angeles skyline.
As part of its grand opening, Dream Hollywood Hotel is offering $40 in-room dining credit, upgrades, premium Wi-Fi and late check-out to visitors, subject to availability.

Just opened: Radisson Blu Resort Świnoujście, Poland
Resort-style accommodation doesn't get better than this. Located on the Baltic Sea, mere moments from the beachfront, the newly opened Radisson Blu Resort Świnoujście is the first five-star hotel in the country to meet strict sustainability standards.
The hotel features over 300 marine-inspired rooms, including a 100m2 presidential suite on the 12th floor, a music club and a bowling alley.

Opening soon: Sanders Copenhagen
Carefully curated rooms in a boutique setting make Sanders an experience like no other. You'll find it located in the thick of things in the heart of Copenhagen's historic quarter, moments from Copenhagen's royal castles, art galleries and historical buildings.
The fit-out is casual-luxury with its most economic rooms inspired by golden age train cabins. Rooms range from the humble coupé, ideal for solo travellers, to more expansive apartments geared toward the long-term guest.

Opening soon: Avani Broadbeach Residences, Gold Coast
Avani is set to make its debut on the Gold Coast late this year in the lead-up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The property is expected to feature 219 rooms across 35 floors and is penned to be a 4.5-star wonder with one- and two-bedroom apartments.
Located in Broadbeach, rooms will boast ocean, city or hinterland views. Other amenities include a Zen garden, resident’s gym, swimming pool, sundeck and meeting spaces.

DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne - Flinders Street unveils its graffiti loft
Embracing the creative side of the city of Melbourne, Hilton has partnered with local street artists 90 Degrees to transform one of its rooms into an artist’s delight. The room, which features original artwork, murals, tagged furniture and graffitied bed linen, is available from 8 July to 13 August. Specially designed graffiti snacks and street-art themed DVDs and books also feature inside the room. Packages start from $259 and can be booked here.
Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai opens its Nanhai Wing
On 11 July, Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai unveiled the addition of its Nanhai Wing, which brings new amenities and experiences for guests. The addition adds three dining areas and 218 rooms with views of Shenzhen Bay. A two-metre pool, meeting rooms and fitness centre have also been added.
Tokyo to welcome the next Marriott and Schrager Edition hotels
The next venture for Marriott and Schrager Edition hotels is set to be Tokyo Edition Toranomon in the heart of Tokyo city. The hotel, which is designed by Ian Schrager, will feature 200 rooms as well as offices, a medical centre and residences. It will take over a former Pastoral Building in the Toranomon district and is set to open in 2020.
Hotel Indigo eyes One Leicester Square, London
This will be InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) first presence in Leicester Square and its fourth property in London. The hotel is due to open late 2017 and will feature 95 uniquely designed rooms. The overall design will be influenced by the existing property’s art deco style.
