Just opened: Eatons Hill Hotel, Brisbane

The new Eatons Hill Hotel opens today, boasting 90 rooms, lush green spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows to create an open and light-filled atmosphere.

Guests of this 4.5-star hotel can book multi-level two-bedroom sky penthouses as well as one-bedroom standards.

The new hotel accompanies the building's current function rooms, bars and entertainment spaces.

Just opened: BIG4 Sunshine Resort South West Rocks - Ngurra lodges

Sunshine Resort has just launched a series of luxury lodges onto its property that are definitely worth bragging about.

Inspired by the forest they're set within, the seven two-storey lodges are the next step up from the modern-day glamp. They blend in with their bushland surroundings and are built of high quality materials and ooze luxury.

Each lodge includes leather lounges, modern artwork, ensuite bathrooms, large verandahs and spacious bedrooms that can sleep six.

Just opened: Intercontinental Hanoi Landmark72

Famous for being the highest level hotel in Vietnam, Landmark72 has been long awaited and finally completed.

Within its walls you'll find 359 bedrooms, each boasting panoramic views of the city. There are also 34 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows on the 72nd and 70th floors.

If you can't afford the stay, book a table at one of its restaurants or bars. At 300 metres above ground, they feature similar views without the overnight stay.

Just opened: Protea Hotel by Marriott, Owerri Select, South-Eastern Nigeria

Located in the entertainment capital of Eastern Nigeria, aka Owerri, Protea Hotel by Marriott is the latest accommodation opening as part of a commitment to grow the Marriott brand across the continent.

There are 90 rooms on the property, 18 of which are suites. The 3-star property features complimentary Wi-Fi and a swimming pool.

Opening soon: Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga

The Latvian capital is due to welcome its latest luxury 5-star hotel later this month with bookings already open to experience Latvian hospitality at its finest.

Set within a 19th century building, the Grand Hotel Kempinski is ideally located in the thick of things. It is just opposite the National Opera House and a stone's throw from the town's historical city centre.

Altogether, it hosts 141 luxury rooms and suites, a bar, cigar lounge, all-day dining, spa and swimming pool. Like you'd expect anything less.

Opening soon: Bvlgari Resort and Residences, Dubai

The latest Marriott to enter Dubai launches at the end of this year as a hotel and residence on the man-made Jumeirah Bay Island.

The premise will boast Mediterranean charm across 150,000 square metres and encompass 173 apartments and 53 mansions.

Visitors can choose from 101 rooms and suites or from 20 pool villas. Also at their fingertips is access to a 1,700 square metre spa, exclusive restaurants and beauty centres.


Hotel St Moritz gets chic new refurb

Now under the Sofitel brand, Queenstown's boutique Hotel St Moritz has undergone a massive refurbishment with a modern distinguished look. Rooms now feature artwork, modern grey hues, tartan furnishings and autumnal colours to reflect the landscape. Kitchens also now include modern wet bars.


Historic West Block buildings in Canberra to be converted into luxury hotel

Located in front of the new Parliament House, the newly sold West Block buildings are penned to become the home of the city's newest luxury accommodation. They are being designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects, who designed Hobart’s MONA and Canberra’s NewActon precinct, and they will no doubt put their modern stamp on this historic building.
