Just opened: Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City Centre, Adelaide
Adelaide welcomed the first Holiday Inn Express in South Australia last week.
Located in the CBD with 245 guest rooms, the new hotel is designed by architect Joseph Pang and features street art by local artist Azzurro.
The overall design and feel is contemporary with an urban style.
Breakfast is served daily with options for sit-down or grab-and-go. There is complimentary Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant and a fitness centre.

Just opened: Swiss-Belsuites Pounamu, Queenstown
Just a 10-minute walk from Queenstown city centre sits the new Swiss-Belsuites Pounamu with views of the lake and The Remarkables mountain range.
The property features 64 self-contained apartments and studios with en-suites that create a home away from home which the Swiss-Belhotel brand strives to deliver with spacious and luxury rooms.
The contemporary style has floor-to-ceiling windows and rooms are equipped with a kitchenette or or full kitchen and open plan living spaces. The location provides easy access to the four nearby ski resorts.

Just opened: Mantra Macarthur Hotel, Canberra
Formerly an office, Canberra’s newest hotel the Mantra Macarthur belongs to a vibrant urban jungle renewal program.
The hotel features 176 rooms designed with modern and industrial features. A new restaurant is also open, serving Mediterranean cuisine.
Amenities on the property include a gym, conference centre, car parking and an Internet lounge.

Just opened: Holiday Inn Express Cologne City Centre, Cologne
On top of its Adelaide venture, InterContinental Hotel Group also opened its largest Holiday Inn Express in Europe last week.
The property features 323 rooms with the standard Holiday Inn Express design that creates comfort through sound absorbing headboards, USB ports directly beside beds and continental breakfast.
The hotel is ideally located and is within walking distance of Old Town and is a short bus ride to the Cologne Cathedral.

Opening soon: Moxy Seattle Downtown, Seattle
Marriott is bringing its first Moxy hotel to the US West Coast. It's scheduled to open later this year in the popular South Lake Union neighbourhood.
The boutique hotel will feature 146 rooms and is focused on a "tech-forward guest experience".
Daily, weekly and monthly activities will be available that include happy hours to keep up a lively atmosphere.
The lobby will include a video wall, 24/7 food and drinks and a bar serving local brews and wines. Continental breakfast is also served.

Opening soon: Hotel St George, Helsinki
The city’s most anticipated hotel is opening in early January 2018, housed inside what was once the home to the Finnish Literature Society and the first Finnish national newspaper.
The building dates back to 1840 and its newly renovated self will feature 148 rooms and five suites. There will be a number of communal spaces that include a wine room, poetry room and winter garden. The on-site restaurant will serve Finnish and Turkish cuisine.
It will be the first hotel in the Nordic region to offer Care a wellness integrated program that includes outdoor exercise, massages, meditation and more.

Darwin to receive Marriott brand hotel by 2020
Marriott International expands into the Northern Territory with a 240-room hotel, The Westin Darwin, in 2020. This is just one of 50 hotels Marriott International plans to open in the Pacific region by 2020. Other locations include Perth, Brisbane and Coolum.
Largest Eastin Hotel to open in Thailand
Absolute Hotel Services has announced that the largest Eastin Hotel, Eastin Hotel Harbour Bangkok, will open in Thailand in early 2019. The hotel will feature 456 deluxe rooms and suites and first class facilities.
