A statement sneaker can never do you wrong. Can't be bothered to put together a cool and stylish outfit? Throw on a basic tee, some jeans or joggers and a statement sneaker. Your look instantly embodies cool streetwear.

Statement sneakers are right on trend, and we have seen so many fashion brands come out with unique styles. Recently, Fendi dropped sleek FF trainers and Vans debuted a Patchwork line of statement shoes.

This time around, we are witnessing a collaboration from two fashion powerhouses. New Balance and Comme des Garçons have designed and developed a capsule of cool sneakers that you are going to want to add to your collection immediately.

The partnership is a rework of current sneaker styles, specifically the New Balance 1500, 990 and 574 silhouettes. They were previewed at Junya Watanabe's Paris Fashion Week show.

From what we can see, there is a clear edge to these sneaker styles. There is a minimalist colour palette of black, grey and white that will perfectly match any outfit. We can also see a super cool all-black sneaker and a unique rustic orange sneaker that will really help you make a statement.

According to reports from Hype Bae, the shoes won't debut until 1 August, and we can expect to see them in some New Balance stores or selected retailers. In the meantime, you can get your hands on the other shoes from New Balance from these retailers.
