The NAB Platinum Visa debit card isn’t your average everyday debit card. It’s packed with premium features, including no foreign currency transaction fees on overseas purchases and a cashback offer on your contactless purchases.

If you’re an existing NAB customer you can upgrade to this debit card within your mobile banking app. If you’re not a NAB customer, you can order this debit card when opening a NAB Classic Banking Account. Read on to learn about all the features of this premium debit card.

Features

$10 monthly card fee

You will need to pay a monthly fee of $10 to unlock the benefits of the card.

$0 international transaction fees

If you’re an avid traveller or love to shop online from overseas outlets, this debit card is for you. There’s no foreign currency fee on international purchases, saving you lots of money when using the card overseas.

1% cash back offer

When you use your NAB Platinum Visa debit card for contactless purchases, you’ll get 1% cashback. This is capped at $10 per month.

Linked Visa debit card

You can use the Visa debit card online or instore wherever Visa is accepted.

NAB Concierge Service

This card gives you access to the NAB Concierge Service; a travel and lifestyle service for NAB signature, platinum and premium cardholders. You can use the service to book flights and accommodation as well as organise medical or legal services while abroad. At home in Australia, you can book tickets for live shows, rent cars and book restaurants.

Complimentary insurance

You could be eligible to receive complimentary insurance when travelling, such as transport accident insurance and flight inconvenience insurance.

Make contactless purchases

Make contactless purchases using NAB Pay for Android.

Mobile app available

Access your money on the go via the NAB mobile banking app. You can use the app to turn contactless payments off or on, lock your card temporarily and notify NAB of upcoming overseas travel plans.

How to apply

You can apply for the NAB Platinum Visa debit card in branch or over the phone. If you’re an existing NAB customer, you can upgrade to the new debit card from your mobile banking app or through Internet banking.

  • You must be over 18 years old.
  • You must be a permanent Australian resident.
  • You must have a NAB everyday banking account, such as the NAB Classic Banking account.
