13,440 seats are going for cheap on 23 domestic routes.

The ever-popular Tigerair $1 return sale is back today with flights across its entire network on sale from midday.

Better set that alarm.

Officially coined the "Pay to Go, Come Back for $1" sale, the way it works is that you literally pay for your departing flight, and then pay just $1 to return. So if you score an outgoing flight for $59, you'll only pay $1 to come back, resulting in a $60 return flight.

The cheapest fares in this sale are Sydney-Gold Coast and Hobart-Melbourne for $59 one-way, or $60 return. Compared to Tigerair's last domestic sale, which boasted Sydney-Gold Coast flights for $39 each way, or $78 return, it's a bargain that can't be beat.

Other notable fares in this sale are: Gold Coast-Sydney for $59 each way ($60 return), Coffs Harbour-Sydney for $65 each way ($66 return) and Brisbane-Sydney for $75 each way (or $76 return).

The catch? You have to get in quick. Only a select number of seats are available per route and flights are for select travel dates from 29 January-26 March 2018.

As with all Tigerair sales, these prices are for light fares and checked-baggage, in-flight entertainment and on-board meals are not included. These can be added for an additional fee.

The Tigerair Pay to Go, Come Back for $1 sale launches at midday today and is available to book through Flight Centre.

This sale ends at midday 5 August 2017, unless seats sell out prior.
