Mass Vehicle Ledger (MVL) is a protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain. Based in Korea, the platform intends to create a decentralised, blockchain-based mobility ecosystem.

The Mass Vehicle Ledger’s blog outlines that the project’s mission is to bring safety, lower fees and vehicle data to a public network that encompasses all forms of transport and vehicle maintenance. This will include ride-sharing, mechanic services, car rentals and car yards. By creating a public blockchain with this data feed, citizens will be able to avoid malicious payments, find good deals on used cars and fuel, avoid dangerous drivers and manoeuvre traffic accidents.

Mass Vehicle Ledger’s native token is MVL. This token is used to drive the system forward through incentive-based data collection. Those that contribute accurate information to the ecosystem will be rewarded with MVL tokens. The tokens can then be used to purchase data, pay for ads or be sold on a cryptocurrency exchange.
