Key purchasing information
Does MSY have a physical store I can visit?
Yes, MSY has physical stores in all Australian states excluding the Northern Territory. You can walk in and make purchases over the counter at any of these stores, though bear in mind that products listed on the MSY website may not be in stock at all locations.
You can find the trading hours for each of MSY's stores by using the map below:
What's the difference between the MSY website and the MSY eBay store?MSY's eBay storefront functions much the same as its regular website, albeit with a few notable differences. The main one is that the eBay store only features a limited selection of MSY's total product catalogue and occasionally even stocks items unavailable on the MSY website. Pricing can also vary between the two stores, so it's worth checking both before placing your order.
Products on MSY's eBay store may also be eligible for discounts thanks to eBay's regular promotional sales. Just bear in mind that some retailers alter the prices of their eBay listings to offset promotional discounts.
What payment methods does MSY accept?
When placing a delivery order on MSY's online store, you can pay using PayPal, VISA, Mastercard or direct bank transfer. If you plan on picking your order up from your local store or simply shopping in-person, your options are cash, EFTPOS, credit card, bank cheque or direct bank deposit.
It's also worth noting that MSY charges a service fee for credit card payments.
Shipping and returns
All MSY orders are sent through Australia Post, ensuring that most addresses across the country are covered.
How much does MSY charge for delivery?
MSY calculates delivery costs based on where you live, the size and weight of your order and what packaging is necessary to ship it safely. Small items delivered to metro addresses might only cost $10 or so, but larger orders to regional addresses may incur fees of $20 or more. Be aware that MSY also charges a handling fee for delivery orders which can range from as little as 20 cents up to $10.
How long does MSY take to deliver?
After you've placed your order, MSY aims to have it processed for shipping within three business days. From there, the average Australia Post delivery time is between two and three business days, though rural and regional orders may take longer.
All orders made through MSY come with a tracking number, so you can keep up-to-date on when your delivery is scheduled to arrive.
Does MSY offer in-store pickup?
Yes. You can choose to pick up your online order from any of MSY's retail locations at checkout. A confirmation email with your order number will be sent to you when it's ready to collect. If you don't collect it within 48 hours, MSY will cancel the order.
When choosing to pick up your order in-store, you cannot pre-pay online. You must pay for pickup orders over the counter.
What is MSY's return policy?
For items damaged during delivery, MSY will provide an exchange or refund at no extra cost.
For faulty items or products that don't match their original descriptions, MSY will provide you with your choice of refund, exchange or repair. Refunds for in-store purchases can be made immediately but may take a few days to process through financial institutions. Refunds for online purchases are a little slower, with processing taking up to five business days after MSY has received the faulty item.
If you choose to have your purchase repaired rather than refunded or exchanged, the repair process typically takes between two and four weeks. Products that require overseas parts or service may require more time than that.
Can I return a product if I change my mind?
MSY will accept returns based on change of mind provided you return the product within 14 days of purchase – "purchase" meaning the date of delivery for online orders. Along with proof of purchase, you'll need to make sure the returned product is unopened and in its original packaging. You'll also need to cover the cost of shipping the product back to MSY if you can't bring it back to an MSY store.
Does MSY ship internationally?
No. MSY only offers delivery to Australian addresses.
MSY review round-up
Before shopping at a retailer for the first time, it's useful to do a little background research into what kind of experience other people have had buying from it. If you don't have a friend or family member with that experience handy, online review sites like Product Review and True Local can serve just as well. We've collected the average ratings from those sites below to help you assess MSY's reputation among other Aussies.
Just keep in mind that online reviews are not always indicative of the average shopping experience. People tend to only post reviews when they have an extremely positive or extremely negative experience – or, in the case of eBay, when prompted to by the site itself. Take this into consideration when looking at the ratings below.
