Where is Mt Buller and why should I visit?
Mt Buller is 248km north-east of Melbourne via Mansfield. It's the most accessible snow resort to an international airport in Australia and brings in domestic and international crowds with just a swift three-hour journey from Melbourne Airport and Melbourne CBD. The mountain is home to more than 300 hectares of skiable terrain, 22 lifts (the largest network in the state) and a village filled with accommodation, restaurants and bars. There's no doubt you'll always be occupied.

Mt Buller ski map
There are a range of ticket options available depending on how much time you want to spend at Mt Buller. For the best deal, you should book online in advance but you can also purchase tickets at the resort. Travelling midweek in June and September will get you the best deals.
For short trips, you can purchase tickets for a half-day, full-day or twilight session on the mountain. Purchase the Discover lift pass and get a free two-hour first-timer lesson to learn the basics and gain access to a number of beginner ski lifts. If you're planning to spend more than one day at Mt Buller, your best option is to purchase the B-TAG pass that gives you access to the lifts of Mt Buller and allows you to add credit and products to your pass. Essentially, it acts as a debit card while you're on the slopes so you can leave your cash and cards at home.
For people who plan to spend a lot of time on the slopes this snow season, the season pass will give you unlimited skiing and riding privileges for the entire 2019 season, making it an ideal option for anybody who plans to spend a decent amount of time on the slopes at Mt Buller. Season passes can also be added to your B-TAG for convenience.

Everything you need to know to hit the slopes on Mt Buller
- Ski season dates: 29June 2019 to 8 September 2019.
- Chair lift opening hours: Currently 9am to 5pm. Subject to change during the snow season.
- Snow report: Check the daily Snow Report for a detailed and accurate look at recent snowfalls and conditions.
- Trail breakdown: 20% of the trail is for beginners, 45% is for intermediates and 35% is for advanced skiers.

Buses and coaches: How do I get to Mt Buller?
You have the option of driving yourself or getting a coach from either Albury Airport, Melbourne CBD or Tullamarine Airport. If you're driving to Mt Buller, and want to pre-purchase parking for the following day, you must purchase your resort entry ticket online by midnight prior to your arrival. You'll need to enter the resort before 10am on the day and you must print your pass and display it on your car dashboard before proceeding into the car park.
You'll be directed where to park depending on the time you arrive and the volume of visitors. There's a shuttle service to transport visitors to different areas of Mt Buller and will return you to your car at the end of the day. Additional parking fees apply for overnight visitors. There's no fuel available at Mt Buller, so if you need to fuel up before entering the resort, it's best to fill up in Mansfield before you arrive. All vehicles entering the Mt Buller Village and staying overnight must carry wheel chains, so make sure you don't leave them at home!
From infants as young as three months old, to seniors and everyone in between, there's a program available for everyone. Group programs and private lessons are easily accessible whether you're a beginner or pro. If you need to rent equipment for your ski or snowboarding lessons, we suggest you visit a rental hire retailer at least a day before your lesson.

|Group Lessons||Beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders (15+ years)||Skiers and snowboarders can take two-hour group lessons that aim to improve your skill set. There are different group levels you can join based on your confidence, experience and skills.|
