The official airline website might not have the best price.

Black Friday is here and for most participating stores, the sales run all weekend long.

If you're eyeing a good great deal on travel, hitting up the airline or tour company's website direct might be your automatic go-to. But guess what? Other sites might do them one better this weekend, especially with so many deals and coupon codes flying about.

The hack

Take a squiz at a few online travel agent's websites before booking that all-important flight, hotel or tour. These agents work closely with airlines, hotels chains and tour companies to secure deals with them that you might not find anywhere else – even on their own sites.

Take for example STA Travel, which is offering sales across various airlines and tour companies over the Black Friday weekend. This includes Etihad flights to Europe from $999 return for students and youths and $20 off Qatar and China Southern flights. STA Travel is also offering up to 30% off Contiki tours, which is on par with what Contiki is offering in its Black Friday sale.

While Qatar is participating in Black Friday this weekend, Etihad and China Southern are not. So if you're considering flying with either airline, take that extra moment to cross-check STA Travel's price to see if you could be flying high at a lower price by going through this alternate door.

Similarly, TourRadar has Black Friday deals that reach up to 70% off on tours with Topdeck, Contiki, G Adventures, On the Go tours and more. While many of these are offering Black Friday sales, it's worth comparing the end amount with TourRadar. You know, just in case it does end up on the cheaper side.

Not sure where to start looking for those bargains? To make things easier, we've also collated the best travel deals available this Black Friday for you. So you can browse and compare your options first and secure your trip at the very best price.
