Money Hack: Get extra Velocity Points from flybuys

Get 15% more when converting, but be quick!
Transferring flybuys points into Virgin Australia's Velocity frequent flyer program gets you more value from flybuys than anything else.
Here's a simple example. For 20,000 flybuys points, you could score $100 in money-off vouchers from Coles (each 2,000 points is one $10 voucher). However, if you converted those points into Velocity Points instead, you'd have enough for a one-way Sydney-Melbourne flight on Virgin, which can cost anywhere from $150 to $250.
A transfer from flybuys to Velocity usually gets you 870 Velocity Points for each 2,000 flybuys points. However, right now there's a special promotion offering 15% extra points.
The hack: Transfer your points
To take advantage of the deal, just sign into flybuys and visit the transfer page. If you haven't already linked your Velocity account to flybuys, you'll be able to do so; you just need your Velocity membership number.
You can only transfer multiples of 2,000 points. Provided you make the transfer before 11:59pm on Tuesday 25 February, you'll get 1,000 Velocity Points for each 2,000 flybuys points. Result!
