Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: Specs

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge attracts a premium price compared to the Galaxy S7, and there's good reason for that. From a purely specs perspective, the Edge closely mirrors its straight-edged sibling, but with a premium boost in key areas like battery life and screen size (although screen resolution stays the same). The curved screen also opens up a whole new range of performance features not found on the general Galaxy S7 model.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: Buy Outright

The Galaxy S7 Edge launched with a premium price tag to match its premium features, but now almost 6 months after it's official launch, a growing number of retailers are offering the phone at a discounted price. It's still going to cost you more than the Galaxy S7, but when you compare it to other big screen premium handsets like the iPhone 6S Plus, the S7 Edge is tough to beat.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: Review

We reviewed the Galaxy S7 first this year, and it wowed us with its performance. The Galaxy S7 Edge had to do a lot to improve on the core handset, but somehow Samsung managed to take advantage of the Edge's larger screen, unique design and improved battery life to offer an even more appealing device.

"The Samsung Galaxy S7 had already wowed us with its battery life being the first smartphone we’d ever tested to break the ten hour battery mark in Geekbench 3’s battery test. Then the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge stepped up to the plate and went one better."

Combining that battery life with impressive performance, and interesting new features like the battery-sipping always-on display and the screen-edge app shortcut drawer all results in an extremely high benchmark for the other phones of 2016 to match.
