Samsung Galaxy S7: Specs

Ever since the Galaxy S2, Samsung has been pushing the specs limits with its flagship handsets. The Galaxy S7 is no exception, and while there are a few areas where the S7's curved-screen sibling the Galaxy S7 Edge has the, ahem, edge in the specs lineup, the S7 is far from being a slouch. Even now, almost 6 months after it was announced, the Galaxy S7's screen is hard to beat. The Galaxy S7's battery life is also truly impressive, one of only a handful of handsets this year that cracked the 10 hour mark in Geekbench 3's battery test.

Samsung Galaxy S7: Review

While it has since been beaten by newer handsets from Sony and Huawei, we initially loved the Galaxy S7's incredible performance and battery life:

"The Samsung Galaxy S7 didn’t so much have a bump as a full-on pole vault over every premium phone we’ve tested to date. It was briefly the phone with the longest battery life we’d seen using Geekbench 3’s battery life test, right up until we tested its sibling, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Still, with more than ten hours of battery life and a solid battery score, the Samsung Galaxy S7 does not disappoint."

It's not a perfect device – it has a tendency to get hot, and there's no removable battery, a trait that Samsung excelled at for years with its Galaxy S lineup – but it's still comfortably one of the best phones released in 2016.
