This all-natural Australian-made rejuvenating moisturiser deserves a spot in your skincare routine.

Now that we are well and truly into winter, a quality moisturiser should be an absolute staple in your beauty regime. A couple of weeks ago, I reviewed the Tarte Baba Bomb Moisturiser, which is great for sensitive skin, but now I want to share the other winter moisturiser that has made its way to the top of my favourites list.

With the recent launch of Minenssey's Rejuvenating range came a Nutritious Face & Neck Cream which is every bit as luxe as it sounds. Packed full of vitamin C, the moisturiser not only gives skin a massive hydration hit, but it also helps to brighten and protect it from free radicals as well.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? The all-natural cream leaves skin hydrated, glowing and protected from free radicals.

How much is it? $90 (50mL)

First impressions

With the current state of the economy, I, like many shoppers, am now looking to invest in Australian-made brands, which is why Minenssey instantly drew my attention. In addition to being an Australian Made Licensee, the skincare label also features unique Australian minerals and ingredients in all of its products.

The Rejuvenating range centres around two main ingredients: pomegranate and indigenous Australian superfruit, Kakadu plum. According to Minenssey's website, Kakadu plum contains 100 times more vitamin C than oranges, which makes the Face & Neck Cream a great choice for those who want a moisturiser that regenerates as well as hydrates.

Arriving in a sleek pink and white container, the moisturiser certainly looks the part of an upmarket skincare product. When you unscrew the lid and see the gloriously thick beige cream though, you really know you're in for a luxury skincare experience.

The texture of the moisturiser is definitely on the heavier side, making it particularly great as a night cream. A little bit also goes a long way which, given the price point, is a definite win.

The cream absorbs into the skin quite quickly, leaving it smooth rather than sticky. You can feel the additional hydration instantly, with skin remaining plump and soft to the touch well into the next day.

Unfortunately, the Face & Neck Cream is accompanied by a strong floral scent which, while not unpleasant, is something of a turn off for me. I personally prefer my beauty products to be fragrance-free as I have very sensitive skin. So far though, I haven't found the cream to be irritating, which is why I have made an exception here.

As I mentioned earlier, the Nutritious Face & Neck Cream has already made its way to the top of my winter skin favourites list. The thick cream feels beautiful to put on and leaves my skin both hydrated and glowing.

As a city-dweller, I also really love that it doubles as a skin protectant by helping to eradicate free radicals.

A 50mL tub of the Nutritious Face & Neck Cream will set you back $90, which definitely makes it something of an investment product. It is worth noting though, that the price is likely to come from being manufactured here in Australia, as it typically costs more to make products here than it does overseas.

If you can afford to fork out, it's worth its weight as either a winter moisturiser or as a heavy-duty night cream. If this one is a little out of your wheelhouse though, there are plenty of great alternatives on the market at a significantly lesser price point.

Where to buy

Currently, the Nutritious Face & Neck Cream is exclusive to the Minenssey site.
