Microsoft Band 2 Australian price and release date

Alex Kidman 4 November 2015

Want Microsoft’s activity tracker on your wrist? You’ll have to be quick.

Microsoft’s first foray into the wearables market, the Microsoft Band, was never officially released in Australia, although if you were especially keen there wasn’t much stopping you using a direct shipping agent to buy one.

You won’t have to go to quite the same extremes if you’re keen on the followup device, the inventively named Microsoft Band 2. Microsoft has announced that at the launch of its first flagship Microsoft Store outside the US in Sydney on 12 November, it will have a "limited number" of Microsoft Band 2 devices to sell to willing punters.

The Microsoft Band 2 will cost $379 outright. Right now there's no indication that Microsoft will also sell the device through its online store, as it is doing with the Surface Book laptop.
