Mexico flights from $1,045 return
Save $180+ by choosing to fly United all the way.
United Airlines is currently on a roll with cheap seats to the US. Only on Monday did the American airline drop fares to Miami down to $920. Now, United is pegging flights to Cancun, Mexico down to just over the $1,000 return mark.
The cheapest fares on offer come up at $1,045 return. These depart Melbourne for Cancun and while they include stopovers through Los Angeles airport both there and back, the layovers are short lasting as little as an hour or as much as 3.5 hours. Or just enough time to grab a bite and recharge your phone.
Melbourne isn't the only one winning in this sale either. Other hot fares included are Sydney to Cancun from $1,068, Brisbane to Cancun from $1,078 and Adelaide to Cancun from $1,163 return.
Compared to other airlines you're looking at savings in the hundreds. For example, if you decide to fly alternate American airline Delta all the way from Melbourne, prices start at $1,229 return (that's $184 pricier). Or, if you want to upgrade to Qantas instead, you're looking to pay $202 more for the privilege. These prices are based on travel from 7-22 February 2018.
Speaking of travel dates. All these fares are on journeys between late-January and February, which are some of the coldest months of the year for Mexico. Not that that's saying much as cold in Mexico means 23-28°C.
Rainfall is sparse and the sea temperature is warm, making it one of the best times to travel to the city.
This sale is only around until seats sell out. At prices and weather like these, we're betting that won't be long. Grab 'em quick from I Want That Flight.
