The giving season is coming to Melbourne early.

You might be in for a pleasant surprise at Melbourne's Holiday Inn on Flinders this school holidays. From 25 September to 8 October, families are in for random acts of kindness to help bring home the "Joy of Travel."

Some of the top tourist attractions around Melbourne have donated family passes, including SEALIFE Melbourne, the Eureka Skydeck, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, Melbourne Zoo and more, to help show visitors a great time.

And after returning to their rooms at the end of the day, the surprises will continue with a "Glamp-in" experience provided by the hotel, where kids are going to find a pillow, blanket and games-filled teepees set up for them. The next morning adults can enjoy a buffet breakfast, while kids under 12 can eat free as usual.

"Everyone loves to be surprised and delighted." says Garry Beadel, the hotel manager. "We delight our guests 365 days per year with our exceptional service and true hospitality, but over the school holidays we intend to add an exciting element of surprise... We can’t wait to give a number of lucky families a day of unexpected wonder and excitement at some of the best attractions in the city."

The experiences are also coming as part of the hotel's $6 million renovations, so guests will also be staying in freshly restored and refurbished rooms and be some of the first visitors to experience the newly upgraded furnishings.

How to go in the draw

These random acts of kindness will be going to families with a hotel reservation for stays at the hotel between Monday 25 September and Sunday 8 October 2017. Head to the official Holiday Inn website to book and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.

This deal isn't just limited to the lucky winners. If you'd rather tip the scales in your favour you can surprise your kids by booking the Glamp-in package directly through Holiday Inn Melbourne, and just get your tickets to the attractions as usual.
