MECCA just launched with Afterpay for Black Friday [UPDATED]
This is not a drill. You can officially shop the Black Friday sales at MECCA with Afterpay!
[Update] ALRIGHT PEOPLE. It officially happened. You can now use Afterpay at the checkout when shopping at MECCA and seriously, I think I've lost my damn mind.Just yesterday the brand released a teaser that they would be offering the payment method really soon and we had a sneaky suspicion it would be right in time for Black Friday sales. Now, I hate to say I told you so but I HOT DAMN I TOLD YOU SO.
This is so damn official that they already have a banner on the site encouraging you to use Afterpay when you and don't mind if I do.
The brand has also posted onto their Instagram to let shoppers know they can use Afterpay to pay for their orders - and everyone is just as excited as I am. "Thank you for the wonderful news' wrote one user and "Finally!! Just in time for Christmas!" wrote another.

So go forth, my Afterpay obsessed friends and fellow makeup junkies. Shop to your heart's content and split those payments over four weekly installments like we've all been dying to do.
Guys, we have been waiting for this day for what feels like forever. We have been waiting, begging and pleading beauty store, MECCA to offer Afterpay for actual years. There are even petitions on Change.org to try and get the retailer to offer this as a payment option, I kid you not.
But, on this completely normal Wednesday, I give you the best news you will receive all week. MECCA has officially announced they will be adding Afterpay to the checkout.
The makeup and skincare retailer took to their Instagram to share a very cheeky teaser video that confirms the news. The video shows messages saying "We want Afterpay!" "Love Afterpay" and "Can we get Afterpay at MECCA pls?"
It's then followed by those three horrifying grey dots I've grown to hate in life but the caption to this post from MECCA states "TXT U BACK SOON" with a damn winky face. Now I don't know about you but that's all the confirmation I need.

So here is my theory that is really going to blow your socks off. It's Black Friday this Friday the 29 November and we were already awaiting the Mecca Black Friday sale. BUT, I seriously strongly believe that Afterpay will launch at MECCA this Friday so you can not only take advantage of the sales but use this as a payment method at the checkout.
This moment is up there when Kmart announced it would offer Afterpay and practically everyone lost their minds. Actually, this moment is exactly like that.
If for some reason you haven't heard of Afterpay then let me elucidate and make your entire life. It's a service that allows you to split your total payment into four equal instalments. You then pay these every 2 weeks and there is no interest unless you miss a payment. This gives you a lot of flexibility when shopping, which is my shoppers (me) love it so damn much.
This post has only been up for an hour but is already gaining some ridiculous attention. It has over 20K views and 900 comments from fans of the store expressing their excitement and tagging everyone they have ever met in the comments.
SO stay tuned my makeup junkie friends because this Black Friday at MECCA is about to be the most exciting yet and we honestly cannot wait to click that oh, so beautiful 'add to cart' button.
Black Friday is a 24-hour shopping event, which will be held this year on 29 November. The massive sales event is closely followed by Cyber Monday, which falls on 2 December and sees even more bargains offered by a huge number of online stores.
