MBFWA 2019 street style trend: Pantsuits

Whether its pink, yellow or even snakeskin, the pantsuit is here to stay.
Pantsuits were a notable trend from the streets of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in 2018. And this trend is showing no signs of slowing down. If anything, this fad has grown.
This trend sees the classic pantsuit reimagined in bold colours, new fabrics and interesting shapes – and oddly, this makes the humble pantsuit more wearable day to day. One of the most popular iterations we've seen is the candy coloured suit in shades like lemon yellow, bubblegum pink, pastel purple and periwinkle blue. But we've seen plenty of other even more bold styles. We've seen a green and beige printed version with a flared leg, and influencer Tash Sefton stepped out in a snakeskin printed variety – which only she could pull off and look so unbelievably chic.
This is a trend for everyone. It's classic, figure-flattering and an eye-catching alternative to a dress, so it's perfect for when your legs need shielding from icy weather. Practicality rarely wins out in the world of fashion, but I think the pragmatism of this trend has aided its universal adoption by the Australian fashion community. So if you haven't already gotten yourself a hot-to-trot pantsuit, you absolutely should.
