Last year, Mazda sold nearly 100,000 cars in Australia. The Japanese car maker has become very much a part of the Aussie landscape over its 100 years of operating, with a range of vehicles covering everyone from tradies, to parents, to new drivers and premium car lovers.
Mazda's success in Australia also makes parts and servicing an easier affair, thanks to it having around 130 dealers nationwide.
If you're thinking about purchasing a Mazda, take advantage of the limited-time EOFY sales!
In our opinion, Mazda's EOFY deal offers are as clear as mud. The official website suggests there is a promotional discount on the cars for Mazda EOFY sales, but it does not indicate what the normal price would be. So, if there is a saving to be had at all, it's hard to establish what that is. Most other car makers very clearly show the discount you'll receive by purchasing during the sales.
For the 2019 EOFY sales, we spoke to Mazda a number of times to try and get clarity on the bonus and the usual drive-away prices for the models listed in the deals but were unable to get a concrete response. Read into that what you will.
Given the above notes about the way the Mazda EOFY sales work, it appears the main benefit of buying a car from the manufacturer before 30 June, is for your own tax benefits. If you use your car in part or in full for work, then you can claim it back using the (up to) $150,000 temporary government asset write-off.
You should speak to your accountant to get clarity on how this applies to you.
Below you will find a table of all the cars Mazda lists as being part of its EOFY sales. These prices are recommended to the dealerships, so may change based on who you engage with and your own haggling power. But they do give you a broad indication of what can be achieved.
