Marimekko’s streetwear line is here: All you need to know about Kioski
Find out when and where you can shop the latest fashion line from Marimekko.
Marimekko provides a range of clothing pieces, bags, accessories, homewares and printed fabrics. Now, the Finnish label is heading into the streetwear space by launching a capsule called Kioski. The classic and iconic prints from Marikmekko, specifically the poppy pattern from 1964, are being re-introduced to the market with a fresh, urban attitude.
Marimekko's head designer Satu Maaranen said: "The first edition of Marimekko Kioski is a collection of athleisure pieces... we wanted to create unisex streetwear that introduces our most iconic flower print, Unikko, to a new, urban crowd."
Kioski will be exclusively available for purchase from the 10 September, only at Marimekko. If you're interested in purchasing other items from Marimekko, such as the homewares line, you can check out stockists like David Jones.
The Kioski collection is super inclusive, with sizes ranging from XS - XL, and prices starting at $10.50 to around $166. Everything is unisex and super wearable. Nothing is tight fitting or figure hugging – it's all comfortable and easy to style.
The bold and iconic Marimekko patterns are at the forefront of the Kioski designs. The curated collection is a celebration of creativity and is heavily inspired by the Unikko "Poppy" flower. Why is it so special? This little symbol is a strong representation of courage, strength, creativity and faith in oneself. That sounds pretty fabulous to us!
The ready-to-wear fall/winter 2019 collection is filled with loads of goodies that we are absolutely obsessed with. Take your pick from clothing pieces like T-shirts, hoodies and sweaters. Or, if you're looking for something unique, check out the wide range of accessories on offer. Shop key chains, bags, hats, scrunchies and maybe even a pair of funky sneakers!
