There were no surprises when the RBA kept the official cash rate on hold when it met yesterday. It appears we're set for a long period of inactivity from the Reserve Bank, which has seen some of the demand for fixed rates taper off.

But a fixed rate home loan isn't just about hedging your bets against future rate rises. It's also about the certainty and peace of mind of being able to budget for your home loan repayments. And there are some incredibly competitive fixed rate deals on the market at the moment.

We've gone through our database to find the 10 cheapest fixed rate home loans available through finder.com.au. To ensure the loans we chose are helpful to the average borrower, we applied the following criteria:

  • A minimum loan amount no greater than $250,000.
  • A maximum loan amount of $500,000 or higher
  • A three-year fixed interest rate
