Make Up For Ever is arguably one of the best names in the makeup industry thanks to its absolutely top-quality products. Which is exactly why we need anything and everything by the brand, including their latest foundation drop.

Just announced on breaking beauty 'gram Trendmood, the Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation is a high-coverage mattifying powder foundation. According to the Make Up For Ever site, the foundation works to blur imperfections for up to 12 hours and leaves a "life-like second-skin water-resistant finish". Looking at the swatches on Trendmood, this product definitely looks a lot like natural skin, so consider us keen.

Available in 30 shades, the foundation caters for a variety of skin tones and undertones. The formula is water-resistant, so we can expect to achieve a pretty flawless complexion that will stay put without looking chalky. It's also breathable, which means that it shouldn't clog pores or cause any breakouts because ain't nobody got time for that.

The new foundations come in a sleek black tin compact with a double-sided flat sponge. The sponge might just be our favourite thing about this product as it serves a dual purpose. The black side of the sponge is for high coverage while the white side is for a softer application, making it super easy to achieve a flawless look.

When and where can you shop the foundation?

The Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation line is already available to shop from Sephora. You can pick it up for $67, which might seem a little pricey, but is about on par with Make Up For Ever's other quality products.

If you're looking to add a few more Make Up For Ever products to your makeup bags, the brand also recently dropped a range of Ultra HD concealers as well as a 30-shade Stage Palette.
