Where and when you can buy the MAC Cosmetics Mirage Noir Collection
Brace yourselves! MAC Cosmetics' newest collection is a holographic daydream...
It has been a hot minute since MAC decided to drop a new collection and boy oh boy we're so glad they did. They have recently collaborated with Patrick Starr, but we haven't seen a collection this good since the Lunar New Year collection.
The newest collection dropping from MAC Cosmetics is called Mirage Noir and it is utter perfection. From the photoshoot images, we're getting a super strong 70s and 80s vibe. The packaging displays a holographic design, unlike anything we've ever seen from MAC before.
So what's in the collection?
Let's start with probably the most unique product included: the Mother O’Pearl Powder. It has a pearly texture with a matte finish that has fans going nuts. Its incredible packaging is enhanced by the stunning powder design and colours that look like they came straight from an Austin Powers movie.
There are also two new foundations for the face and body. These come in two shades called Just a Hint and Million Dollar Bling. Whilst there are only two shades we think there may be more to drop. These foundations are said to be fairly shimmery so if you like the golden goddess look, these will be right up your alley. They also come with a large powder brush that could be utilised with the rest of this collection.
You can also expect to see brand new lipsticks and lip glasses coming to the MAC collection. The line-up includes new glitter-filled shades of the MAC Lip Glass which will come in Midnight Dip, Oysterized, Soft Shell, Strip ’n’ Dip and Treasure Peach. Also in the line-up are five stunning new lipstick colours called Beach Nut, Goodbye Kiss, Noon Noir, Nothing To Wear and Twig.
On the note of bold colours, there will be four single shadow shades for you to play with. The shades are (as pictured below) Dust Off, a champagne cream; Sparkle Purple (Slow as You Glow), rich dark purple; Sun Speck, a peachy bronze; and Sun, Tan and Repeat, a gorgeous holographic green/purple/brown.
Last but definitely not least are the two new Bronzing Powders and two Extra Dimension Powders. The bronzing powders come in Baiana Bronze and Matte Bronze and the Extra Dimension Powders in Delphic and Golden Rinse.
So when and where can you buy it?
Most importantly, you probably need to own this entire collection. We don't blame you.
The Mirage Noir Summer 2018 Collection will be available for purchase later this month in the United States and Canada at MAC. Overseas in Europe, the collection will drop at the end of the month at Selfridges. There is no official launch date for the Australian market, but if you don't feel like waiting till then you can use freight-forwarding services like MyUS and Shopmate.
In the meantime, if you're keen to get your hands on some MAC Cosmetics goodies, check out MECCA, David Jones, Myer and the MAC website for more great launches – from Patrick Starr's collection to the Sia red lipstick, there's plenty on offer.
