Lush Yog Nog Body Milk surrounded by Christmas lights and decorations

If you suffer from dry, tight skin, make sure this soothing body milk is on your wish list to Santa.

With Christmas now just around the corner, beauty brands have been getting in the spirit and releasing a bunch of festive goodies for the occasion. As always, Lush's collection takes the cake with its fun array of products, which meant that I just had to try out a few for myself.

Despite the huge selection of bubble bars and bath bombs though, it's the arrival of a new addition to the Yog Nog range that really caught my attention. Now in the form of a Body Milk, the product is not only a blessing for those like me with dry skin, but it smells just like Christmas too.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? The deliciously sweet and lightweight body milk uses natural ingredients to soothe dry skin.

How much is it? $17.95 for 100g or $32.95 for 250g.

Where to buy it: LUSH online.

First impressions

As soon as you open the Yog Nog Body Milk, you're immediately hit by the smell. Made from a blend of spicy clove oil and ylang ylang, the scent is a sweet and spicy mix that will make you think of Christmas dessert.

Available in both 100g and 250g options, I nabbed myself a 250g bottle, which seemed like the better alternative for a product that I was going to use on my entire body. However, the consistency of the product meant that a little bit actually went a long way, making either choice good value for money.

LUSH Yog Nog Body Milk on hand

When you first squeeze the product out, it looks like the creamy formula I was expecting from something called "body milk". Once you start rubbing it in though, it turns into more of an oil, making it incredibly quick and easy to apply to the skin.

The oily nature of the product also left my skin not only hydrated, but glowing for the rest of the day. The smell lingered for a really long time too, rather than quickly fading like a lot of scented products do.

Verdict

While I admit to being a little bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of body moisturisers currently in my possession, the Yog Nog Body Milk convinced me that I had room for one more. Even though I'm not a huge fan of strong scents, this is an incredibly fun product that instantly makes you think of Christmas and puts a smile on your face.

I also really love the oily consistency of the product as it hydrates without being too heavy, which is perfect as we come into the summer months.

Affordability

The oily nature of the Body Milk means that a little bit goes a long way, even if you're using it on your whole body. Because of this, you can actually get away with picking up the 100g bottle for the lesser price point of $17.95 and it will still last you for quite some time.

Retailing for $32.95, that is more than I would usually pay for 250g of moisturiser. However, it is a limited-edition product so I was happy to pay a little extra in this case.

Where to buy

All of LUSH's products are exclusive to the brand, meaning that you can only shop them in-store or online at LUSH.
