Talking about self-care and love languages are up there with 2 of my favourite discussion topics. If you're unfamiliar, allow me to enlighten you.

5waystolove.com puts it perfectly when it says "different people with different personalities give and receive love in different ways". When you recognise how you like to be loved, you can effectively give yourself the self-love and care you rightly deserve.

We have some descriptions below if you're unsure which language you fall into and also remember you can have multiple love languages too.


1. Physical touch

To this person, nothing speaks more deeply than appropriate physical touch.

  • Create a beautiful skincare routine that makes you feel looked after
  • Draw yourself a bubble bath with relaxing essential oils
  • Dry brush your skin
  • Give yourself a scalp massage or treatment

  • Spend 10 minutes stretching or doing some yoga
