London flights from $987 return

Posted: 9 March 2018 9:59 am

Travel during peak dates at non-peak prices with Emirates.

Gone are the days when you'd need to shell out big dollars to spend summer in Europe. They've been replaced with affordable fares on full-service airlines and the airline kicking off your European trip this year is Emirates.

The 4-star full-service airline has starting fares of just $987 return during spring, summer and autumn dates for all your holiday pleasure.

You'll have to fly out of Melbourne for these prices. However, flights out of most other capital cities will only set you back a smidgen more. Think Perth to London from $1,058 and Sydney to London from $1,090.

Travel is mainly centred around spring (May) and autumn (November) though there are irresistible June dates you can jump on as well.

Only a select number of dates are available at these prices and the best way to find them all is by using Skyscanner's monthly pricing tool which allows you to see where the cheapest flights in the month lie.

We've outlined the routes, starting fares and date ranges below. You can find a full list of sale dates by visiting I Want That Flight.

As these flights aren't part of any particular promotion they are only available until sold out.

How good are these fares?

During the peak of summer full-service fares to the UK can cost $1,500+ and any deal under $1,000 is a bargain, no matter what time of the year you're flying. One of the cheapest flights we've seen to London was $799 return but you had to fly two budget airlines to get up there and back.

At less than $200 more and with comfort, checked luggage and in-flight meals attached both ways, this Emirates deal is looking mighty pretty compared to that bottom-of-the-barrel fare.
