Few rugby league clubs have a history as rich as foundation club, the Sydney Roosters. Originally known as Eastern Suburbs, or Easts, and then Sydney City, the clubs is best known to its fans as the Chooks. And under current coach Trent Robinson, the Sydney Roosters have enjoyed huge success. This includes two premierships, in 2013 and 2018. The latter was the side's 14th premiership overall, claiming a strong victory over the Melbourne Storm in the grand final.
In 2019, the Roosters are in good shape to become the first team to win back to back NRL premierships since the Brisbane Broncos in 1992 and 1993.
This year the Sydney Roosters team plays its home games out of the historic SCG. The Roosters have a loaded team including club co-captain and Australian and NSW captain Boyd Cordner. There's 2018 leading point scorer and Dally M centre of the year Latrell Mitchell. Also Australian Kangaroos and 2019 State of Origin player of the series James Tedesco.
Big names internationals like Cooper Cronk, Brett Morris, Jared Waera-Hargreaves also bulk out the team, alongside young guns like Victor Radley.

Best way to watch Sydney Roosters games in 4K: Foxtel
The Sports Pack available as a premium addition to a Foxtel IQ subscription offers the same NRL content as Kayo Sports. However, as it's a premium pack, you must first pay for the base Essentials pack and also an HD pack. This brings the total up to $68/month, plus potential installation fees, depending on the available deals at the time.
Subscribers do have access to the IQ4 set-top box. This is currently the only way to get 4K streams of NRL games, which does look amazing. Subscriptions also give you access to the Foxtel GO app, which is free downloadable to digital devices. This allows you to stream NRL games to your digital device, or watch through the Foxtel website.
Best mix of Sydney Roosters games and general content: Foxtel Now
If installing a set-top box in the house is a step too far, but you want access to non-sport content as well as Sydney Roosters games, Foxtel Now is your best choice. It'll set you back $54/month and you don't get the same cool viewing features, however, as well as the same sport content as Kayo, you get Pop and Lifestyle channels.
Foxtel Now is compatible with PCs/Macs, smartphones and tablets. It's also on PS4, Chromecast/Airplay, Telstra TV, Sony Android TVs and the Foxtel Now Box. New subscribers get a 10-day free trial.

Live stream Sydney Roosters NRL games with NRL Live Pass
The NRL Live app is the NRL's own Digital streaming service. The app is available for free to download on Android, Apple and Windows mobile devices. NRL Live allows users to access live scores, statistics, match highlights, the latest news and reports all for free. These are updated live as a game unfolds.
In order to experience the full NRL Live experience, though, you'll have to get a subscription to the NRL Live Pass. This gives you access to a live stream of all Telstra Premiership matches, including representative games, the NRL finals Series, the Nines tournament and the All-Stars games. There's also 400 legacy games dating back to 2013 on demand.
Live streams of the NRL Grand Final and the State of Origin series are not available via the NRL Live Pass, but full match replays will be available after the completion of the games.
There are two subscription plans for NRL Live Pass. There's a Weekly Pass option that costs $3.99/week while an Annual Pass goes for $99.99. However, if you're a Telstra Mobile customer, then you are in luck. All Telstra consumer and small business post-paid mobile plans, consumer mobile broadband plans and pre-paid services that continue to maintain a $30 or more recharge credit, receive an NRL Live subscription for free.
To activate your free offer, you need to log into to the NRL Live app from your Telstra mobile device and click the "I'm a Telstra customer" button. One point worth noting is that Live Pass subscriptions auto-renew unless you manually opt out, so be sure to monitor your settings if you don't want a continual charge.
NRL Live is compatible with iOS, Android, Windows Phone, as well as PC and Mac laptops. Importantly, note you cannot use NRL Live Pass on devices with a screen greater in size than 7-inches. This rules out most Plus models and tablets.
