International rugby league is back with 3 weeks of games. Rugby league test matches kick off on 25 October and can be watched live.

It's the neverending year of rugby league. First there was the NRL and Super League, then came the World Cup 9s and now we have some test matches. Over the next three weeks rugby league internationals will be back on the tele.

As you'll see in the test match schedule there are multiple nations playing rugby league internationals. This comes as there's been an increased push to grow the game of rugby league globally.

How to watch rugby league test matches

Similarly to the NRL season, Foxtel and Kayo Sports will broadcast the most rugby league tests live. There'll be a few games on the Nine Network too but not all of them. At this stage NRL.com will have exclusive rights to the Junior Kangaroos vs France.

How to watch rugby league test matches on Kayo Sports

How to watch rugby league test matches on Foxtel iQ

Foxtel IQ is the only service that airs content in 4K. Select rugby league test matches will be shown in 4K and watching in this resolution is simply sublime. It isn't all good news though as it's not that simple to just watch sport.

If you're an existing subscribers with a Foxtel iQ4 box a quick add of the Sport pack for $25/month and you'll be set. New Foxtel IQ customers have a few extra tasks.

First you have to organise installation of your set-top box and unless you can snag a deal, there's usually a fee. It's also mandatory to have the Foxtel Plus pack for $49/month which has a selection of Pop and Lifestyle channels.

So what we're saying is you'll be up for $74/month. You'll have access to watch from the Foxtel GO app after simply signing in with your Foxtel account details.

How to stream rugby league test matches on Foxtel Now

Foxtel Now is Foxtel's own digital streaming platform. The biggest difference with this product compared to Foxtel's traditional set-top box is that you stream directly from the Internet.

The maximum capability of Foxtel Now is HD as well. You can watch sport on Foxtel Now by signing up to the Sport pack for $29/month. Unfortunately if you're only a sports fan you won't enjoy the news that it's also compulsory to have the base Entertainment pack at $25/month.

This means you're up for $54/month at minimum. So unless you're after some programming that isn't solely sport, you'd be far better off with a Kayo Sports subscription. Subscribing to Foxtel Now will also allow you to stream via the Foxtel GO app.

Foxtel Now can be viewed from the Foxtel Now box, Telstra TV, Android TV, PS4, iOS and Android devices. You can stream to your TV with the assistance of Apple TV and Chromecast.

How to watch rugby league test matches on Channel 9

At the time of writing, the Nine Network has only confirmed it will show test matches on the first weekend of games. Channel 9 will broadcast games on both Channel 9 and Gem. Check local guides for details as broadcasts can vary state by state.

You can also watch live TV from the Nine Network through 9Now. You simply have to sign up via your email address. After that you can begin streaming through your laptop, PC, Mac, iOS or Android device. Streaming is also compatible with Airplay and Chromecast.

How to stream rugby league test matches on NRL.com

NRL.com will be the only broadcaster showing the under-23 Australian Kangaroos against France. The NRL website also recently broadcast the Prime Minister's XIII against Fiji.

To watch the Junior Kangaroos take on France for free visit the NRL site and select the game once the match begins. That should take you through to the live stream.
