1st T20 match recap

David Warner belted his first ever T20 century finishing 100* in the opening game of the series against Sri Lanka in Adelaide. Although it was only a T20 it'll be sure to give Warner a much needed confidence boost.

Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell were also strong wielding the willow. They combined with Warner as Australia made 2/233 runs, their highest ever home T20 score.

It wasn't just the Australian batsman who dominated. The bowlers restricted Sri Lanka to 9/99. While all the bowlers were extremely economical, leg spinner Adam Zampa was pick with 3-14 from his 4 overs.

It was a day to forget for Sri Lanka who probably can't take a single positive away from the game. Seamer Kasun Rajitha finished with figures of 0/75 off 4 overs and now holds the unwanted record of worst T20 international figures in history.

When is the 2nd Australia vs Sri Lanka T20 match?

After Sunday afternoon's game was played at the Adelaide Oval, we now head to the Gabba in Brisbane. The match is set to begin on 30 October at 7:10pm AEDT.

2nd T20 match preview

The Gabba is renowned as a hard and fast pitch. That news probably has Sri Lanka's bowlers losing sleep. They'll again be faced with the prospect of Finch, Warner and Maxwell sending deliveries over the fence.
