For motorsport fans desperate for some high-octane action, the 2020 AMA Supercross Championship should be squarely on your radar. The season that start in early January and was halted in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic will resume with a jam-packed schedule in June.
Ten of the 17 races were completed before the suspension. Now, the final seven events will be held between June 1-22 (AEST) at Rice-eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A cross between traditional motorsports and action sports, Supercross may be fairly niche, but it's steadily growing in popularity. It's easy to see why – the races are short, action-packed and spectacular, taking place on constructed dirt tracks consisting of steep jumps and obstacles.
Riders are on the younger side, more accessible on social media and eager to build a solid community. As a result, Supercross is often the talk of the motorsport world and promotes a culture that relies heavily on entertainment.
If you're looking to follow along in 2020, you'll be happy to know that the remainder of the 2020 AMA Supercross Championship is available on TV and via streaming in Australia.
