Australia takes its cricket pretty seriously. The Australian men's and women's cricket teams are the pride of the land. Be it the mighty Test side, the ODIs or the T20s. It's not just the international cricket either, as the various domestic leagues also find thousands of fans every week. The Big Bash League in particular is one of the most watched leagues in the world.
At the end of each summer, the Cricket Australia community gets together at a big red-carpet event in search of the best players from the year prior. It's called the Allan Border Medal for the men and the Belinda Clark Medal for the women. There are an additional nine awards handed out on the night, too, across a range of categories.
