Adelaide Crows vs Sydney Swans

Adelaide Crows vs Sydney Swans is a season-opening AFL clash at Adelaide Oval. Which team gets their campaign off to a strong start?

The opening weekend of the AFL season continues with Adelaide Crows vs Sydney Swans at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Runners-up to Richmond in 2017, it all fell apart for the Crows over the past two seasons, leading to the departure of coach Don Pyke. Now Matthew Nicks gets his chance as an AFL head coach and his first match is against the Swans, the team he represented throughout his playing career.

After a flag and two other grand final appearances over the past decade, the Swans missed the finals in 2019. It will be interesting to see how quickly they can recover.

When is Adelaide Crows vs Sydney Swans?

The opening bounce of Crows vs Swans will be at 4:35pm local time (5:05pm AEDT) at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 21 March.

Who will win Crows vs Swans?

This really is an intriguing first-round match-up between two teams it is hard to get a read on right now. Both finished out of the finals picture in 2019, have some outstanding veterans and a host of promising youngsters.

The Swans have enjoyed some big wins in Adelaide over their journey. But to open the season, we'll lean towards the home team in this one.
