Methodology for deciding NRL strike rate
We assembled a list of every single player in the NRL and all of their playing and personal stats. In order to work out the team with the best strike, we divided each player's number of tries by their number of games. This created a try strike rate for each player.
We then filtered out any player that has played fewer than 20 games to ensure that figure was balanced and not blown out by, for example, a one-game wonder who scored a hat-trick. Finally, we grouped these players by team and took an average of the try-scoring strike rate across the backline (including halves) to get our answer.
So, here is a list of the NRL teams in order of try-scoring strike rate. If you want to see the stars in action, we have a detailed breakdown of all your options for watching the NRL season here.
