LG’s V40 ThinQ will hit Australia for $1,299
If it arrives by 14 February, it could make an unusual alternative to roses for your loved one.
The LG V40 ThinQ was announced back in October 2018, but Australians have had to wait a while for a formal release Down Under of the new flagship phone. It features a 6.4-inch OLED display, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB of RAM.
On the camera front, there are dual 8MP and 5MP sensors for selfies with depth of field, but it's the back of the LG V40 ThinQ where the real camera action is.
That's where LG packs in a 12MP f/1.5 sensor with 1.4μm-sized pixels to seriously give it an edge over the low light capabilities of the LG G7 ThinQ. That standard lens is paired up with a 16MP f/1.9 super wide-angle lens and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens. It's ThinQ branded, with AI optimisation for your camera shots.
The LG V40 ThinQ will go on sale in Australia in "early February" for $1,299 outright through JB Hi-Fi and MobileCiti. By most calendar measures, it already is "early February", so we'd expect to see it pop up any day now.
