What’s in the Levi’s x Nintendo “Super Mario” collection?
Wa-hoo! All your favourite Super Mario characters make an appearance in this quirky new streetwear collab.
From Hello Kitty to Star Wars, denim giant Levi's loves a good pop culture collection and its latest definitely doesn't disappoint. Drawing inspiration from your favourite childhood game, the label has paired up with Nintendo for a Super Mario capsule that any player will want to collect.
Dropping in-store and online at Levi's from 1 April, the Super Mario line will feature all your favourite characters from the 80s game including Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Toad and Princess Peach. Fans will also be able to spot iconic tokens from the game scattered throughout the collection in the form of stars, mushrooms and gold coins.
The capsule takes on a street-style aesthetic, offering up a range of tees, hoodies, jackets, jeans, overalls and shorts. As with most Levi's collections, the standout from the line has to be the classic denim trucker jacket. Featuring embroidered characters and tokens all over, the jacket also sees the buttons revamped in red, blue, green and yellow hues.
Another key piece from the line arrives in the form of a pair of 501 '93 Straight Jeans. The blue denim jeans come with a Mario print around the waist and a hidden "Power Up" message on the inside of the pant legs.
In addition to the apparel pieces, a range of accessories will also be up for grabs, including banana sling bags, bandanas, wallets and baseball caps. A denim tote bag featuring Mario punching the Levi's logo will also be available.
If the Super Mario collection is anything like other pop culture lines by Levi's, you'll have to be quick to nab the pieces when they do land. With all your coin collecting skills though, you should be well and truly ready to go.
