How rocking the rainbow can help to campaign for the rights of others.

Whoever said fashion has no business in politics could not have been more wrong. For a long time now, the fashion world has been joining political conversation and has been making some pretty damned positive changes as a result. From Tommy Hilfiger's 100% recyclable line helping to reduce waste and water usage, to the designers who dressed celebrities in all black at the 2018 Golden Globes for the Me Too Movement, fashion has been helping to push important issues into the limelight.

Cult-favourite denim brand, Levi's, has long been part of the political movement by being a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community for over thirty years. Now, the brand is partnering up with OutRight Action International to release its sixth Pride capsule in order to help campaign for the rights of the LGBTQ community around the world.

This year, OutRight Action International will receive 100% of the profits made by the Levi's range. We know that it will include a line of bandannas, tees, denim jackets and bum bags, all featuring the Pride flag - you can see a selection of the pieces below.

In previous years, we have also seen some seriously cool denim jackets released as part of the Pride range. With denim being the label's bread and butter, it is likely we will see some new designs released this time around too.

Levi's were the first of the Fortune 500 (the top 500 corporations worldwide as measured by revenue) to offer same sex partner benefits to its employees. They also maintain a visible presence at Pride events all around the world. Add some wicked wearables to the mix and this is a brand you're definitely going to want to support.

When can you shop the 2019 Pride capsule?

Good news. The new collection is already available. You can shop it online and in store at Levi's, David Jones and Myer.
