MECCA is about to get a whole lot busier, because Laura Mercier is coming in 2019.
Today has brought forth some amazing news for Australian beauty lovers everywhere. Laura Mercier will be coming to MECCA on the 26 February 2019.
Yes, that's right. That means that Laura Mercier products will be coming back into the Australian market.
As of 12 February 2019, an announcement was posted on the MECCA website. A banner appeared with a teaser hinting at information about Laura Mercier.
The banner takes you to a page with a video sneak peek of what we can expect to see in MECCA stores very soon. No further information has been posted to the MECCA site, just an email sign up box that will allow you to be first to hear about any news – we've signed up immediately of course.
Although 2018 was a great year for beauty, there was a dark day that Australian makeup junkies will never forget. 30 June 2018 marked the day that we saw the removal of all Laura Mercier products from the Australian market. Even stores like Cult Beauty that still stocked Laura Mercier would not ship these particular products into Australia. We're still not quite sure why this decision was made. It did coincide with the changes to GST around international purchases coming into Australia, but we can't confirm if this was the catalyst behind the Laura Mercier exit from Australia.
Laura Mercier produces high quality makeup that is loved by so many. And the brand is most famous for creating one of the best setting powders on the market – the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.
While we're not sure exactly what specific products are coming to MECCA or if we'll see the return of the Translucent Setting Powder, the video on the MECCA site did give some hints. The video shows a woman rocking a flawless base (probably thanks to the translucent setting powder) and she's also seen applying the Flawless Radiance Perfecting Foundation. Hopefully this means we are getting the full collection from Laura Mercier, as well as all the fabulous new releases that we watch the rest of the world get.
